We were very excited to hold this year's Autumn Show at our Searchlight headquarters for the first time in many, many years!
It had the feel of a village show, the atmosphere was great and the weather was kind to us (albeit a bit windy!).
Feedback from entrants and visitors alike has been very positive and we hope to hold next year's show here too!
Despite the difficult growing conditions recently, 39 people entered the show with a massive 256 entries between them which was only slightly down on last year
Many visitors joined us from 2pm to view the exhibits and enjoy tea and home-made cakes and a raffle and also to buy some plants to add a little autumnal colour to their gardens.
Many congratulations to:
Pat Kehoe winner of the RL Bowles Cup for best exhibit in the Vegetables category
Penny Alexander winner of the Association Silver Rose Bowl for best exhibit in the Flowers and Plants category
Kaye Molloy winner of the Wiggins Cup for best exhibit in in the Fruit category, and the Windemere Cup for the best Flower Arrangement
Richard & Katie Ashcroft winners of the Banksian Medal for the highest points in the show
Peter & Mardien Drew winners of the Association Dahlia Cup and the Presidents' Award and Blue Ribband for the Best in Show
We hope you enjoy the short video below of the show made by our friend Sara Ward from Hen Corner Hen Corner – Living the Good Life in the City and a selection of photos taken on the day.
